However, there is more to it than just that.  When a driver or software program is upgraded, technically the old one is
removed.  So, once again corruption would be left in the registry.

Then, there is this problem; spyware, viruses, adware and all this kind of stuff are software programs which are technically known as malware.  Malware is a contraction for malicious-software.  So, when any malware is removed from a computer, it will leave registry corruption behind.

This creates a quandry because we don’t want to create a corrupted registry but we simply must remove malware when any is found.  So, all we can do is continue running virus and spyware cleaners at regular intravals and also run a good registry cleaner periodically.
