PC error cleaner was the name often used a few years ago to describe what we now generally describe as a registry cleaner. Upon crashing a PC will often leave an error code on the screen. Since this code would be generated by the operating system’s registry, it is commonly believed such an error would be a registry error and a registry repair
program would take care of it. This is not always the case.
Cleaning the registry of a computer that is giving error codes is a good away to approach fixing the problem. However, viruses and spyware can also make a computer crash and leave error codes. So, by all means, scanning the registry with a good registry cleaner may be the answer for an error prone PC but make sure you scan for viruses and spyware first. If you do have a spyware or virus infection, a registry scan may give you unreliable results.
When you have an error prone computer always scan for viruses and spyware first. You can get a free virus/spyware scan here.
